Edinburgh police are appealing for help in tracing the next of kin of a pensioner who was found dead a month ago.
Alex Fulton, 81, was discovered by officers at a property on Canon Street on Thursday, June 2, in the Canonmills area of the city.
Police Scotland is now asking for the public’s help to identify Mr Fulton’s family after extensive enquiries proved futile.
The force said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
Police constable Neil MacKenzie said: “Sadly, Mr Fulton has passed away and we have carried out extensive enquiries to identify next of kin and relatives but to no avail.
“I would ask if anyone has any information that could assist us in tracing any potential next of kin should call 101 quoting incident number 0961 of June 2, 2022”.
