Concerns are growing for a man who has gone missing after being involved in a crash on the A7 north of Selkirk.
Police were called to the two-car crash near the Lindean Junction around 7.10pm on Tuesday.
Shane Donnelly/Barr is believed to be the driver of one of the cars but was not at the scene when officers arrived.
It’s feared that the 26-year-old may have been injured in the crash, and extensive enquiries are ongoing to trace him.
Shane, from Galashiels, is described as 6 feet tall, with brown hair, facial hair, and blue eyes.
The female driver of the second car was taken by ambulance to Borders General Hospital for treatment.

“Significant resources, including the police helicopter and dog branch, have been involved in searches of the local area, and enquiries continue.
“Shane has links across the Scottish Borders, and I am keen to hear from anyone who may have information about Shane’s whereabouts. Please get in touch, as we need to ensure his safety.
“I am also appealing directly to Shane, if you are reading this, please let us know you are safe and well.
“Anyone with any information is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3784 of January 14, 2025.”
