Search launched for driver who fled police during early hours in Perth

A search has been launched for a driver who fled officers in Perth during the early hours of Monday morning.

A silver Toyota Avensis, registration FH08 OWY, was signalled to pull over on Dunkeld Road at around 12.25am.

It made off at speed on Ruthvenfield Road in the direction of Castle Brae. The vehicle was later found abandoned on Uist Place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are asking anyone with dash-cam footage of the area around the time to review it and bring anything of significance to our attention.

“Residents of Uist Place are also asked to check doorbell or private CCTV footage to see if they have captured anything which may assist our enquiries.”
