Search for missing US woman with Disney tattoos in Edinburgh who ‘failed to fly home’Police Scotland

A search has been launched for a missing American woman who failed to arrive at Edinburgh Airport for her flight home.

Police are appealing for information to help trace Alisha Sutton, also known as Alisha Bowman, who has been reported missing in Edinburgh.

The 36-year-old was last seen around 7.20am on Sunday at Hawes Pier in South Queensferry, after reportedly disembarking from a cruise ship.

She is described as around 5ft 6ins, with long brown hair and speaks with an American accent.

She is believed to be wearing a green jumper and has Disney tattoos on her arms.

Alisha was expected to travel to Edinburgh Airport but failed to arrive.

Inspector Graham Belfall said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Alisha and are keen to trace her as soon as possible.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen her, or who has any information on her whereabouts, to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0321 of May 4, 2026.
