Police have launched a search for a missing pensioner with dementia.
Lorna Ferguson, 71, was last seen leaving Edinburgh’s Pilrig Park at around 11am on Saturday.
Ms Ferguson was walking her dog, a brown cockapoo, which had a luminous yellow extendable lead.
The pensioner, who is around 4ft 10in, was wearing beige trousers, walking boots and a green Rab puffer jacket.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Lorna has dementia and her family is extremely concerned.
“She has never gone missing before and they just want to know she is safe and well.
“Extensive enquiries are under way to locate Lorna, but efforts so far have proved unsuccessful.
“Officers are checking CCTV footage for any additional information which could assist in the inquiry.”
