Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a man missing in Edinburgh.

Ryan Payn was last seen in the Morningside Place area of the city around 6.10pm on Saturday.

The 50-year-old is described as being around 5ft 11ins tall, of average build, with short black and grey hair with a grey beard.

When last seen, he was wearing faded grey cargo trousers, a dark grey t-shirt, a green puffer jacket, a distinctive camo pattern bucket hat, green trainers and a large wooden beaded necklace.

Inspector George Nisbet said: “As time passes, concerns are growing for Ryan, and our enquiries are ongoing to trace him.

“I am appealing for anyone who has seen him or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and who many have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.”
