A man who was reported missing after leaving hospital has been traced, police have confirmed.

John Ritchie was last seen as he left the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on Monday at around 1.30pm.

Police were “increasingly concerned” for the welfare of the 41-year-old.

The force confirmed John has been traced on Tuesday.
