A hospital in the Scottish Borders has been closed and patients’ appointments have been cancelled after fire on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to Knoll Hospital site in Duns following reports of a blaze.
NHS Borders confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
The health board says there will be “disruption” to clinic appointments at the site for the rest of the week while a full assessment of the building and any damage is carried out.
A post on social media read: “Our teams are working to contact affected patients directly regarding their appointments, and we ask patients with clinic appointments not to attend the site unless they have been specifically advised to do so.
“GP appointments at the Merse Medical Practice will operate as normal tomorrow.”
