Scotland’s favourite pygmy hippo calf has been introduced to her dad five months after being welcomed into the family.
Haggis has become a visitor favourite at Edinburgh Zoo since she arrived in October last year.
Dad Otto has been living separately since the birth, as would be the case in the wild.
The natural behaviour of pygmy hippos is for the mother to take responsibility for the care, protection, and guidance of the calf.

Their family reunion saw Haggis enjoy some play and inquisitive sniffs before Otto and mum Gloria settled in for a nap, leaving the wee to enjoy the sun.
The pygmy hippo family does not live together full-time, but lucky visitors might catch them mixing under keeper supervision as part of ongoing efforts to familiarise the hippos.
