A schoolgirl was taken to hospital after being struck by a car in a hit and run in Fife.
The 14-year-old was knocked down by a dark-coloured Mini believed to have a white checkered roof in Glenrothes.
The incident happened at around 1.30pm on Tuesday, March 18, on Rothes Road near the junction with Napier Road.
The Mini failed to stop at the scene and drove off towards the roundabout on Leslie Road before turning towards the town centre.
The teenage girl was taken to hospital for treatment and later released.
Police continue to hunt the driver of the car.
Constable Steven McKenna said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver and I am appealing for them to come forward, along with anyone who has information that could assist.
“I am also asking anyone driving in the area at the time to check if they have dash-cam footage that could help with our investigation.”
