An investigation has been launched after four men were injured in an incident at a building site in Edinburgh.
Four men were taken to hospital after a wall collapsed at the site on Rillbank Crescent around 11am on Wednesday, June 19.
Four ambulances, two special operations vehicles and a critical care paramedic were sent to the scene alongside the police.
Firefighters were also called to help lead four casualties to safety.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has now launched an investigation into the incident.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.30am on Wednesday, June 19 to reports of a wall collapse in Edinburgh.
“Operations Control mobilised a number of appliances to the city’s Rillbank Crescent, where firefighters helped lead four casualties to safety.
“The casualties were thereafter transferred into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service personnel before being taken to Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
“Crews thereafter left the scene.”
A HSE spokesperson said: “We are now leading an investigation into an incident at a construction site in Edinburgh on June 19.”
