A house fire has been reported at a property at Newbigging in Musselburgh.
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) crews were alerted at around 2.16pm on Tuesday to reports of a dwelling fire in Musselburgh.
Four appliances were sent to the scene where crews worked to extinguish the fire.
“One appliance remains on scene with firefighters working to make the area safe,” a spokesperson for SFRS said.
There are no reported casualties.
Police Scotland said Newbigging was closed at Pinkie Road and Inveresk Road following the incident. It was reopened just before 5pm.
The public was urged to avoid the area and use an alternative route.
