iStockA road has been closed in the Scottish Borders following a collision during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that the A702 near West Linton has been shut in both directions after the incident at around 6.45am.
Emergency services are currently in attendance. The number of vehicles involved and the nature of any injuries is not known.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes when travelling.
A social media post read: “The #A702 at West Linton remains CLOSED in both directions due to a road traffic collision.
“Emergency services are at the scene.
“Alterative routes and extra travel time is advised where possible.”
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
