A road in Edinburgh has been closed after a car crashed into parked vehicles and scaffolding.
Police confirmed that Lower Granton Road is closed eastbound at Granton Square as a “precaution” following the collision at 10.40pm on Thursday.
There were no injuries as a result of the crash.
Lothian Buses confirmed that alternative routes are in place.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.40pm on Thursday, 26 February, 2026, we were called to a report of a car having crashed into parked cars and scaffolding on Lower Granton Road, Edinburgh.
“There were no reported injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.
“Lower Granton Road is closed eastbound at Granton Square as precaution while the scaffolding is made safe.”
A statement from Lothian Buses reads: “Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve Starbank Road, Trinity Crescent and Lower Granton Road are instead diverted via Craighall Road, Stanley Road, Newhaven Road, Ferry Road and Granton Road in both directions until further notice.”
