Roads have reopened in Edinburgh after residents were evacuated due to a report of a potentially suspicious item.
Emergency services, including bomb disposal experts, were called to Restalrig Avenue between Loganlea Avenue and Loganlea Drive on Monday afternoon following the discovery.
A police cordon was put in place, and a number of properties were evacuated.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) attended and the item was made safe.
Police Scotland said no injuries were reported and thanked the public for their patience.
