Eight five-week-old puppies have been reunited with their mother after they were stolen from their home.
The Border collies were taken from an East Lothian farm between Friday night and Saturday morning.
Due to their young age the puppies had yet to be chipped, so were unable to be traced straight away.
However, police managed to track them down and bring them home following an investigation.
Officers are now following a positive line of enquiry in their hunt for the dog thief.
