An investigation has been launched after two dead pet rabbits were dumped near a burn in Edinburgh.

The animals were discovered by Burdiehouse Burn, near Gilmerton Dykes Crescent, on January 24.

Their bodies had been left on blankets and attempts had been made to cover them with a cardboard box.

“The rabbits were not microchipped.”
