Ambitious plans to expand the Premier Inn in Stirling City Centre have been approved by the District of Stirling Licensing Board.
The business applied for a variation of the premises licence by amending the operating plan and layout plan.
The premises were described in the application as a “hotel with a food and beverage area”.
They asked to remove outdoor drinking as a permitted activity on the premises and to reduce the capacity of on-sales from 570 persons to 476 persons and to reduce the capacity of off-sales from 18.99 sqm to two sqm.
The applicant has submitted new layout plans to reflect the refurbishment of the former Beefeater restaurant.
The restaurant is being demolished and replaced with a new three-storey building being constructed, providing a new food and beverage area and an additional 35 bedrooms.
No objections or representations have been made by Police Scotland or the Licensing Standards Officer in respect of the application.
No other objections or representations to the application have been received.
