Two people have been charged following a disturbance in Fife, which resulted in a police officer discharging a taser.
Emergency services were called to Canmore Street in Dunfermline around 11.40pm on Wednesday following reports of the incident.
A 21-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were arrested in connection, and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.40pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, we received a report of a disturbance at Canmore Street, Dunfermline.
“A 21-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man have been arrested and charged, and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
The force confirmed a taser was used during the disturbance, and the matter will be referred to the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner as part of standard procedure.
