Man charged after cannabis farm worth more than £140,000 seized

Police have seized more than £140,000 worth of cannabis after raiding a premises in Fife.

On Thursday, March 14, officers discovered a cannabis cultivation on Orchard Terrace, in Kinghorn, with a potential street value of more than £144,000.

A 52-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

He appeared before Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Friday, March 15.

Sergeant Gordon Stanford said: “This seizure has taken a significant amount of drugs off our streets.

“The operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“Information and support from members of the public is vital to our work and I would encourage anyone with concerns about drugs activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101.
