Water searches are under way for a missing man after personal items and clothing were found on a beach in Fife.
Thomas Wild, from Falkirk, was last seen around 7pm on Saturday and has not been in contact with his family since Sunday.
Personal effects and items of clothing were found on a beach in Dalgety Bay near Crowhill Road around 8.15pm on Sunday, prompting searches by police and HM Coastguard.
The 22-year-old is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall, of slim build, and with brown hair.
Inspector Simon Kinyua said: “Thomas was last in contact with his family on Sunday, March 8, and they are becoming increasingly concerned for his well-being.
“We have been assisted by partner agencies, including HM Coastguard, in carrying out searches in the Dalgety Bay area where the clothing was found. Officers are carrying out enquiries in the Falkirk and Grangemouth areas in case Thomas has returned there.”
“We would urge anyone who has seen Thomas since 7pm on Saturday, March 7, or anyone with information that may assist our enquiries to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident 2404 of Sunday, March 8.”
