Police are searching for a missing teenager from Midlothian who may have travelled by train to Glasgow.

Rachael Lawrie was last seen at around 11am on Thursday at Eskbank train station in Dalkeith.

Officers believe the 16-year-old may have been planning to attend a concert at the Clyde Rooms in Glasgow.

She is described as around 5ft 8ins, of slim build with long brown hair.

She is believed to be wearing a black long-sleeved top, a green gilet and black leggings.

Sergeant Ryan Russell said: “Rachael has been reported missing before but concerns are growing for her welfare and we want to make sure she is safe and well.

“She has connections in Glasgow and Lanark.

“If you have seen Rachael or know where she might be then please get in touch with us.”

Anyone who can help should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 4196 of Thursday, April 4.
