Increasing concern for missing schoolgirl last seen on Saturday morning

Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl who disappeared from Midlothian on Saturday.

Officers said they are “increasingly concerned” for the welfare of Julia Gradecka who was last seen at Waterfall Walk in Dalkeith at around 7am on Saturday, July 13.

The teenager is described as being around 5ft 9in, of medium build and has long brown hair. 

She was last seen wearing a purple and white jumper, black leggings and white crocs.

Police Scotland said she is known to frequent Bellshill in North Lanarkshire. 

Inspector Watson from Dalkeith Police Station said: “As time passes we are becoming increasingly concerned for Julia’s welfare and would urge anyone who may have seen her, or has any information on her whereabouts, to contact police.

“Likewise, if Julia sees or hears about this appeal, please call us, so we know you are safe and well.”
