An 83-year-old driver was pulled over by police for going too slow before they found his licence had been revoked.

Road Policing officers stopped the elderly man on the A92 near Ladybank in Fife.

They said they were used to stopping speeders but discovered the man “should not have been driving”.

His car was seized.

“Stopping this 83-year-old driver on the A92 whilst we were working with [Dundee Road Police] was different as he was driving too slow,” a post from Road Policing Scotland said.

“Checks revealed a revoked licence and shouldn’t be driving. He’s been reported and the car seized.”
