iStockA police officer was injured and another man was taken to hospital following a disturbance in the Scottish Borders.
Emergency services were called to reports of a disturbance at a property in the Howdenbank area of Hawick at around 10am on Saturday.
During the incident, a police officer was injured, and another man, 35, was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police are now appealing for anyone in the area with CCTV footage of the incident to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Kim Allan said: “This was a contained incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection.
“This incident happened on a quiet residential street and we are hoping that locals have captured the disturbance on their private CCTV or dash-cams.
“Anyone with information or footage that could help our investigation, should contact 101, quoting reference 1184 of 26 July, 2025.”
