Police have launched an investigation into a ‘wilful’ shed fire in Fife.

Emergency services were alerted at around 9.40pm on Thursday when a shed was set on fire at Robert Smith Court in Lumphinnans, Fife.

The fire was quickly extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and nobody was injured as a result.

Police are treating the incident as wilful fire-raising.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware around 9.40pm on Thursday, January 13 , of a shed on fire in Robert Smith Court, Lumphinnans.

“It was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.

“It is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
