'Significant damage' caused to building following late-night blaze

Detectives are carrying out enquiries to establish the cause of the blaze on Saturday night.

Police in West Lothian appeal for witnesses after fire breaks out at property in Blackburn

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fire at a property in West Lothian.

Police Scotland and fire crews were called to the blaze on on Beechwood Road, Blackburn at around 11.30pm on Saturday May 27 2023.

Whilst significant damage was caused, no injuries have been reported.

Enquiries to establish the cause of the fire are ongoing and detectives have urged any witnesses to come forward.

Detective constable Sam Plastow, from Livingston CID, said: “We can be thankful that no one was hurt as a result of this fire.

“As our investigation continues, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have information, or potential CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.

“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 0047 of May 28, 2023.”
