A ‘large serrated knife and balaclava’ was found in a car which was pulled over in Edinburgh, police have revealed.
On Saturday, July 2, a car was pulled over in the Leith area of the capital while officers were on patrol.
When it was searched, officers say that a large serrated knife and balaclava was found inside.
The driver of the car tested positive for cannabis on a DrugWipe and was alleged to have the class B drug in their possession.
Police arrested the driver and a blood specimen from them was obtained for further testing.
Road policing officers say that enquiries are ongoing regarding the knife.
