Police are looking to trace a teenager who exposed himself to a dog walker in East Lothian.

Investigating officers are appealing for information following the incident that took place in Tranent on Monday night.

The woman was walking her dog in the Muirpark area of the town at 8pm when she was approached by the suspect who is thought to be around 16-years-old.

He exposed himself to the victim before making off on foot towards Ormiston Road.

The teenager is described as being white and around 5ft6 with a slim build and short dark hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a black and grey coloured hoodie and dark coloured jogging bottoms.

Constable Ben Gourlay said: “Clearly, this was a disturbing and upsetting incident for the woman involved, who thankfully reported the matter to police.

“We are appealing anyone who witnessed what happened or saw someone in the area matching the description, to please get in touch.”
