A missing man with “poor mobility” has been found after going missing in Midlothian.

Stuart Blaikie went missing at 7pm on Tuesday in the Carlops Road area of Penicuik.

The 77-year-old was described as around 5ft 9in in height, of stocky build with grey hair.

Officers confirmed he was traced on Wednesday morning.

A police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Stuart Blaikie, 77, who was reported missing from Penicuik has been traced.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our earlier appeal.”
