A shopper has received an official police warning following a row over the disinfectant of a supermarket trolley amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Officers were called to the Morrisons store in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, on Monday night in response to reports of a disturbance between a customer and staff member.

The shopper was issued with a recorded police warning following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We were called to a supermarket in Clackmannan Road, Alloa, at 6.45pm on Monday to reports of a disturbance between a member of staff and a customer.

“The customer was issued with a recorded police warning.”
