Police were called to a Fife railway station after reports of a fight on a train involving a man with a pole.
The British Transport Police were alerted to an incident onboard a service at Burntisland station at around 9.45pm on Wednesday.
Officers boarded the train at Kirkcaldy station and searched the carriages.
No one was found.
A British Transport Police spokesperson: “Officers were called at around 9.45pm yesterday (July 15) to reports of a fight on a train at Burntisland railway station.
“Officers searched the train thoroughly at Kirkcaldy railway station, however, no one was found.”
