A driver had a lucky escape after his car burst into flames near a Fife roundabout.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Dunnikier Way in Kirkcaldy at around 9.11pm on Sunday, after reports of a vehicle on fire.
Fire crews got to work immediately, extinguishing the car, and no injuries were reported as a result.
Eyewitnesses said the driver “jumped right out” of the car once light smoke turned into a raging fire.

One person reported on social media that the man “looked in total shock” at the sight in front of him.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 9.11pm on Sunday, July 31 to reports of a car well alight near Dunnikier Road, Kirkcaldy.
“Operations Control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
“There were no reported casualties.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10pm on Sunday, 31 July, 2022, police and emergency services were called to a report of car on fire at the Gallatown Roundabout in Kirkcaldy.
“No one was injured and no criminality established.“
