iStockA person is in hospital following a two car crash on a slip road on the M8.
Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 3.07pm on Wednesday involving two cars on the M8 eastbound slip road at Junction 4, near Whitburn.
One person was taken to hospital.
Their condition isn’t known.
Traffic Scotland said the road remains closed, and emergency services are still in attendance.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.07pm on Wednesday, 12 August to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on the M8 eastbound slip road at junction 4.
“Operations Control mobilised three appliances to the scene.
“One casualty was taken to hospital.
“Crews left after making the area safe.”
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
