A person has been taken to hospital after being cut from a vehicle following a crash in Stirling.

Officers were alerted to the crash on Munro Road at around 11.47am on Thursday.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched two engines to the scene, and firefighters used specialist equipment to release one casualty from their vehicle.

The person was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital by ambulance.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.47am on Thursday, January 16 to reports of a road traffic collision in Stirling.

“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the city’s Munro Road, where firefighters used specialist equipment to release one casualty from their vehicle.

“The casualty was thereafter transferred into the care of Scottish Ambulance Service personnel and taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital.

“Firefighters left the scene after working to make the area safe.”

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
