A pensioner has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Edinburgh’s west end.
At around 5.40pm, emergency services were called to reports of a crash between a bus and a pedestrian on Haymarket Terrace in the city.
The pedestrian, a 79-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by ambulance where his condition is currently unknown.
A police cordon was put up and traffic in the area was redirected.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 5.40pm on Saturday, February 4, to a report of a crash on Haymarket Terrace involving a bus and a pedestrian.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 79-year-old man, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh by ambulance.”
