A 67-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were taken to hospital following the crash in Fife.

A pensioner and a teenager have been injured after a car crashed into a house in Fife. 

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Glenrothes around 7.50pm on Friday evening following reports a Vauxhall Corsa had crashed into the property. 

A 67-year-old man who was in the house at the time of the collision was taken to hospital with serious injuries and is in a stable collison. 

A 67-year-old woman who was also in the house at the time of the crash was uninjured. 

An 18-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the car, was taken to hospital for treatment where she was later discharged. 

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old man, was uninjured following the collision and has since been arrested and charged with an alleged road traffic offence.

He has been released on condition to appear at court at a later date and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Officers remained at the scene on Saturday.
