Passenger, 20, fighting for life after car crashes into building 

A 20-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, where his condition is described as critical.

A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a car crashed into a building in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to Drumbrae Terrace around 1.30am on Thursday, after a black Suzuki Jimny car struck a building at Drumbrae Park.

A 20-year-old man, who was a passenger of the car, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his condition is described as critical.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, and another passenger, a 19-year-old man, were also taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Sergeant Grant Hastie said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are asking people in the area to check any private CCTV from the surrounding streets to see if they have captured anything that could assist.

“If you were driving in the area please also check to see if you have any dash-cam that might help with our investigation.”
