A teenager and a 41-year-old man have been arrested after police seized drugs worth nearly £50,000.
Officers stopped a van in Edinburgh at 1.05am on Friday, tested the driver and searched the vehicle.
Class A drugs, including heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of more than £21,000 were found.
Officers said they also recovered cash and a Taser-like device.
A further search was carried out at a property in East Lothian and heroin worth an estimated £28,000 was found, along with three weapons.
The 16-year-old male and the older man have been charged with road traffic and drug offences.
Inspector Roger Park of Edinburgh’s Road Policing Unit said: “A large amount of controlled drugs have been seized as a result of this proactive stop, which involved a number of units working together across the city.”
The men will appear at court on Monday.
