Two people required medical treatment following a fire at a high-rise block of flats on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to Bruce Heights on Broomhead Drive in Dunfermline, at around 4.47pm following reports of a fire taking hold on the eighth floor.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service dispatched six fire appliances, one height vehicle and a command support unit to the area.
A video of the impacted block shows thick plumes of black smoke billowing from the windows. The blaze was extinguished by firefighters and the area made safe.
Two casualties were transferred into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service following the incident.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.47pm on Tuesday, December 3, to reports of a flat on fire at Bruce Heights, Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline.
“Operations Control mobilised six fire appliances, one height vehicle and a command support unit to the scene.
“Firefighters extinguished a fire affecting a flat on the eighth floor of a high-rise building.
“One casualty was in the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
Police Scotland confirmed officers were in attendance to assist.
A Scottish Ambulance service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 5.08pm on Tuesday December 3 to attend an incident on Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline. We dispatched two ambulances and two special operations response teams (SORT) to the scene. Two patients were treated and released on scene.”
