Adobe StockNo criminality has been established after reports of a serious sexual assault circulated on social media.
Emergency services were alerted to an incident on Huntsman’s Road in Glenrothes on Tuesday at around 11.25pm.
Officers attended and carried out enquiries. No criminality was established.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are aware of posts circulating on social media relating to a serious sexual assault in the Huntsman’s Road area of Glenrothes last night.
“We received a report around 11.25pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, and officers attended.
“Enquiries have been carried out and no criminality has been established.
“Anyone with concerns is urged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101, or 999 in an emergency.”
