Police never made a single arrest at the Oasis concert in Edinburgh on Saturday night.

Around 70,000 rock and roll fans were at Murrayfield to see the Gallagher brothers perform classics such as Champagne Supernova and Slide Away.

Officers praised concert-goers for their “positive vibes” as they confirmed that the gig passed without any arrests being made.

A message posted to social media, the force said: As we wrap up the second night of the Oasis concert at Murrayfield, we want to give a huge thank you to all our officers who took part in the deployment.

“We all loved the positive vibes from the public, which made the event as unforgettable for us as it was for you

It was the band’s second night in Scotland as part of their world tour after getting back on stage together for the first time in 16 years.

They return for their third and final Scottish date on Tuesday.
