A motorcyclist has died following a three-vehicle crash in the Scottish Borders on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the A72 near Innerleithen at around 12.40pm after reports of a collision involving a black Yamaha YBR 125 motorbike, a grey Citroen C4 Picasso and a yellow Citroen DS3.
The rider of the bike, a 53-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other reported injuries.
The road remained closed until around 9pm.
Sergeant Dave Waddell said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us. We would like to thank the members of the public who assisted at the scene of the crash.
“We’d ask anyone with dash-cam footage which could assist our enquiries to come forward.”
