Police are appealing for information after a number of bikes were stolen from a shipping container in Innerleithen.

The bikes were stolen from a shipping container in Traquair sometime between 4.30pm on August 25 and 8.25am on August 26.

They are described as a red Honda motorbike, registration mark FH67 LGV; Ibis Hakka gravel bike, multi-green bar tape; Scott Genius bike, small size, gold Fox 38 forks, orange and purple headset spacers, Deathgrips Wolftooth seat posts and YT Capra mountain bike, black in colour, medium in size.

Five suspension forks were also stolen along with the mountain bike tyres.

Police Scotland’s Craig Turnball said: “We are reviewing CCTV and carrying out door to door enquiries to establish who is responsible.

“We are keen to trace four people who were seen in the area, along with a white van.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0588 of 26 August, 2024.”
