A teenager who disappeared five days ago has been found after police said they “may have travelled to Blackpool”.

Emma/Aster Goddard had last been seen leaving an address in the Waverley Drive area of Glenrothes, Fife, at around 10pm on Saturday.

When last seen they were possibly wearing a red Joker T-shirt, a black hooded top and black shorts.

Police said the 14-year-old may have travelled to Blackpool, but also had links in Irvine, North Ayrshire – sparking a search across the country.

Police Scotland urged the public to help asking anyone who thought they may have seen Aster or had any information on their whereabouts to get in touch.

On Thursday morning, a spokesperson for the force said Aster had been found.

“Emma/Aster Goddard, 14, who was reported missing from Glenrothes has been traced,” Police Scotland said.

“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
