iStockFire crews are tackling a gorse blaze near the Midlothian Snowsports Centre.
Reports of the fire near the snow sports complex on Biggar Road, Hillend were made at around 4.30pm on Sunday February 26.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed two appliances are at the scene.
A spokesman said: “Two fire engines are currently in attendance at a fire in an area of gorse in the vicinity of Hillend Ski Centre near Edinburgh. The report was made at around 4.30pm.”
Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
