Two men have been charged following a rescue mission at a popular beauty spot featured in TV series Outlander.
Emergency services were called out to Finnich Glen, home to the Devil’s Pulpit near Killearn in Stirlingshire, on Wednesday afternoon following reports of two men trapped.
As a result, Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the Scottish Ambulance Service and Lomond Mountain Rescue Team launched a multi-agency operation.
The men, aged 24 and 25, were subsequently helped to safety but were later charged with culpable and reckless conduct in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of two men who had become trapped at Finnich Glen near Killearn around 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 28.
“A number of agencies attended including police, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service and the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team.
“The men were subsequently helped to safety by the mountain rescue team and checked at the scene by the ambulance service. They were uninjured.
“Both men, aged 25 and 24, have been charged with culpable and reckless conduct in connection with the incident.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
