Roads have been cordoned off and diversions are in place after the death of a man near an Edinburgh school.
Emergency services were called to reports of an injured man in the Primrose Street area near Leith Academy at around 2.30pm on Tuesday, June 6.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Locals have reported a “massive” emergency service presence in the area following the incident.
Lothian Buses also announced that two of its services in the area – the 21 and 25 – would be unable to serve Lochend Road, Lochend Road South, Lochend Drive, Restalrig Road and Lochend Avenue.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.30pm on Tuesday, June 6, we were called to a report of a man injured in the Primrose Street area of Edinburgh.
“Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
