A man who died in hospital following a three-vehicle crash in Clackmannanshire has been named by police.

At around 11.20am on Thursday, February 9, three cars – a red Fiat 500, a red Kia Picanto and a blue Honda CR-V – collided on the eastbound carriageway of the A91 on the Menstrie to Alva road.

The four occupants of the cars, a man and three women, were all taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert.

Peter Knox, the driver of the Fiat, sustained serious head injuries and died in hospital on Saturday, February 11.

His 58-year-old female passenger’s condition was described as serious but stable. Her current condition is unknown.

Mr Knox’s family have asked for privacy at this time.

Enquiries remain ongoing in the crash and anyone with information that could assist is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1111 of Thursday, February 9, 2023.
