A man has been tasered by British Transport Police after causing a “disturbance” on train tracks.
Officers discharged a taser after the man failed to comply with orders at Stirling station around 11.30pm on Tuesday night.
The force confirmed the man received a medical examination before being taken into custody.
A large police presence was in place outside the railway station.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Stirling station shortly after 11.30pm last night (June 25) following reports of a man on the tracks causing a disturbance.
“Following unsuccessful attempts to the get the man to comply, a taser was discharged.
“The man received a medical examination before being taken to police custody.”
